Directions.  Center eye covers on head, adjust head strap first then adjust throat latch for snug comfortable fit.   Note** when removing, undo the throat latch and head strap gently.   The ripping sound of the hook and loop, might startle your horse.

Make sure when your horse is wearing his mask, that it fits comfortably, as there are adjustable straps under the chin and an adjustable poll strap.  There should be several inches of overlap on the throat straps.

Washing your Guardian Mask, use a hose with a nozzle and wash off the mask with pressure.   You can also machine wash the complete mask, but only use non detergent soap and cold or warm water.  It is recommended to hand wash the masks as well for best results.

A wonderful tip that was shared by one of our customers for cleaning the hook and loop, was to use a sticky roller, the type for cleaning hair from fabric, she said it worked perfectly!    Thank you for the tip Jan!

Another fabulous tip shared by a customer was using a flea comb on on the plastic part of the hook and loop!  Thank you for the tip Gale!

Rubbing,  as all horses are built differently, in some cases, there might be rubbing.   To remedy this, sew on a piece of mole skin, fleece, or spandex to the part that is rubbing.  (Make sure the fit is appropriate and not too tight.  The Mask must be worn loosely and can be worn under or over a bridle, depending on what is most comfortable for your horse)

The Mask is designed under extreme pressure, to break away at the poll strap if the horse becomes entangled, to prevent injury.

To repair, clean and trim end of strap and re-sew, like the other side.

If you have a horse that is extremely rough on the exposed eye covers, you can take a thin piece of belting or an old belt, take it to a local shoe repair man and have him sew the belt around the outside of the eye which would reinforce it.

Guardian Mask has a limited warrantee.  The Guardian Mask is guaranteed against defect in material and workmanship for 90 days. Fabric tears due to contact with sharp objects or other animals are not covered.   The Guardian Mask will replace or repair at our discretion any defective mask.  Please refer to our limited warrantee information here;

http://www.horsemask.com/Warrantee.html

Please send the defective mask and a copy the original receipt showing date of purchase to our address.  For your horses safety, the Guardian mask is designed to separate under extreme pressure where the neck straps attach to the mask.

Reminder: If the mask has been hung causing the designed break-away to be torn, the mask will not be replaced as it is designed to do so.
